Germany’s traditional carnival festivals in January and February will be unforgettable. It is a rural custom of Germany’s Rhineland to celebrate the “fifth season of the year” with dressed- up people, masks, comedy-shows, traditional food, big parades and colorful parties.
The meaning of the rural is to scare the bad ghosts, to welcome the good ones and to expel the winter’s bad spirits.
